Journalists to boycott JI activities
NOWSHERA: The journalists Wednesday announced not to give coverage to the activities of the Jamaat-e-Islami, the Alkhidmat group and traders association for using indecent language against them.
The announcement came at the general body meeting of the Nowshera Press Club. They accused the JI activists and traders of passing uncalled for remarks about the journalists during a protest outside the press club.
The office-bearers of the press club maintained the JI district leaders had been asked to take action against their party activists for mudslinging against the journalists. They said despite complaints the JI leader failed to take action against those using bad words for the media personnel.
