Journalists’ strike continues
CHAKWAL: Journalists’ hunger strike entered the third day here on Monday. Two journalists Faheem Akhtar Butt and Tahir Farooqi observed hunger strike.
The journalists were protesting against the registration of a false case against three journalists by excise and taxation department. Journalists led by Chairman Khawaja Babar Saleem appeared before the Investigation Officer and SHO Sadr Police and recorded their statements that bogus case was registered against the journalists. The journalists vowed to struggle till the withdrawal of bogus case against three journalists Aamir Masood, Sajid Baloch and Imran Qaisar Abbas.
