Journalist’s murder condemned
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Union of Journalists and the Peshawar Press Club on Thursday staged a demonstration to protest against the killing of Mohammad Ismail Khan of the PPI news agency. Syed Bukhar Shah, president of the Peshawar Press Club, Syed Ansar Abbas, general secretary of the Khyber of Union of Journalists and Shamim Shahid, bureau chief of The Nation, led the protesters.
They demanded protection for working journalists, and said that their community was being targeted for quite some time. We want the killers of Ismail Khan arrested and given exemplary punishment, journalists said.
