Journalists Housing Foundation Bill approved
LAHORE (February 23 2004): The Punjab cabinet meeting, presided by chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, approved legislative measures regarding Bill for Journalists Housing Foundation to be presented in the provincial assembly on Monday.
The chief minister apprised the cabinet of various steps taken in connection with the sacred month of Muharram on the occasion.
Pervaiz Elahi, addressing the cabinet, stated that the provincial government was all geared up to spend its resources accumulated on account of its better financial policies in uplifting development endeavour in under-developed areas in the province.
The chief minister said with upright financial steps, the provincial government could now spend additional rupees four to five Billion on development of agriculture, education, industry, health and other sectors in the province.
He appreciated the provincial administration for its good work in holding National Horse and Cattle Show in the province in a befitting manner.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi mentioned appreciation of the provincial government efforts in uplifting education level by the World Bank on the occasion.
