Journalists Group Wins Press Gallery Election
LAHORE – Journalist group backed candidates, Akhlaq Ahmad Bajwa and Hassan Ahmad were elected President and Secretary respectively of the Press Gallery Committee of the Punjab Assembly on Thursday.
The election of the press gallery committee was held at the committee room of the Punjab Assembly.
According to the results, Akhlaq Bajwa of the Journalist Group bagged 36 votes while his rival Shahid Chaudhry of Progressive Friends and Pioneer Group got 27 votes.
Hassan Ahmed of Journalist Group got 33 votes while his rival candidate Farzand Ali secured 30 votes.
