Journalists awarded for reporting on health issues

The Centre for Excellence in Journalism at the Institute of Business Administration (CEJ-IBA), Karachi and Centre for Communication Programs Pakistan (CCPP) organised the first ever “Excellence in Journalism Awards 2016”. Thirteen journalists received excellence awards in health reporting, for news stories published between July 1, 2015 and June 30, 2016 at a ceremony held at CEJ on Monday.

The winners and runners-up in the three categories are as follows: Mainstream broadcast (TV, Radio) – winners are Ovais Ahmed Tanveer and Danyal Hasan while runners-up are Safdar Hussain Shah and Saifullah Cheema. Mainstream Print/Online – winners are Zofeen T Ebrahim and Muhammad Suleman whereas runners-up Izhar Ullah, Sameer Mandhro and Moniza Inam. District Correspondents (Print, Online, TV, Radio) – winners are Adnan Khatri and Mohammad Shahid while runners-up Amjad Ali and Nisar Ahmed Khan.-PR
