Journalist Fawad Khurshid passes away
ISLAMABAD—senior journalist and Director of News of Public TV Fawad Khurshid passed away after a prolonged illness.
“The most shocking, unbelievable and distressing news is that @fawadkhurshid Sb is no longer with us. He was a very sophisticated and beautiful person. I met him for the first time in Islamabad Public News office,” Ruhma Irfan Malik, TV anchor and host, stated in a tweet.
Khurshid first fought covid, then pneumonia and lung disease, and later liver disease. “He had to get a liver transplant, but nature did not give him the chance. Rest in Peace!”Ruhma said.
Khurshid worked in the media for nearly 20 years. During this time, he worked for many news organizations, including Geo, Dawn, Capital, Neo, and Public News.
