JI to launch TV channel
RAWALPINDI: Central spokesman and Deputy Secretary General, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Dr Farid Ahmad Paracha said the JI would soon launch a religious TV channel with the cooperation of traders and steps in this regard are being taken.
He said this while addressing the participants of a workshop held here on Monday, where besides JI Ameer Rawalpindi district Sajjad Ahmad Abbasi, Naib Ameer Brig (retd) Abdul Qayyum, general secretary and others were also present.
Dr Farid said with 70 channels operating at present, the media is very powerful and is playing vital role in highlighting the problems of the society. It is reflecting the national and international issues bravely and boldly, he added.
