Jamiatul Ulema-e-Islam to stage procession against cable TV networks
NOWSHERA- The Jamiatul Ulema-e-Islam declared to launch a drive against cable television networks and stage a demonstration to show its resentment over the government’s refusal to ban these networks.
A party meeting, chaired by Maulana Moharnmad Mujahid Khan, urged the people to voluntarily disconnect their cable network services to show their love for Islam.
The JUI-F Nowshera district head Hafiz Quaid Ahmad told the meeting, that certain ministers were allegedly playing the role of agents for non-governmental organisations and were busy in spreading obscenity in the country through cable television networks and other steps. He warned that any support for the cable networks would eventually result in the fall of the government.
Several party leaders spoke at the meeting and pledged to block the menace of cable television networks from spreading in Nowshera.
