AWARDS AND FELLOWSHIPS
2005 FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN JOURNALISTS
The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) invites women journalists from any country outside the United States to apply for its 2005 Fellowship Program for International Women Journalists. Launched in 2004, the fellowship gives women journalists from around the world an opportunity to learn valuable skills in U.S. newsrooms.
One fellow will be selected to spend four months working with a U.S. media company from March to June 2005. A successful applicant will be someone who is currently employed in a media organisation and is dedicated to a career in print or broadcast journalism. She must also show a strong commitment to sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues upon returning home. Excellent written and spoken English skills are required. The fellowship covers expenses, including air fare and a stipend.
The deadline for applications is November 15, 2004. IWMF will announce the winner in January 2005.
