IT training for govt employees to be made mandatory: PM
ISLAMABAD, April 28,2005: The government decided on April 27 to adopt e-governance and a paperless environment in all ministries and departments to enhance their performance and efficiency.
The decision came at the first meeting of National e-Government Council, chaired by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at the PM House. “Pakistan has to keep pace with international practices of office management and decision-making by improving our work culture,” prime minister said. He said e-governance would provide efficient access of information to the public, create more transparency and would be a quantum jump to meet the future challenges.
