IT to be introduced in schools, colleges
HYDERABAD- The secretary of education, Sindh, has said that education was the sine qua non for the development of the country and progress of the nation and the primary education was the foundation stone of the entire educational structure.
Education secretary Nazar Hussain Mehar was speaking as chief guest at an Eid Milan Party hosted for him by the Sindh Historical, Educational and Cultural Society at a local hotel the other day.
He said that due to the induction of untrained teachers who had been recruited on the basis of ‘Safarish’ the performance of the education department had been badly affected.
He said that this was the age of information technology and competition and added that it had been decided to introduce computer and Internet in schools and colleges to keep the teachers abreast of the latest developments in the field of education.
He urged the philanthropists to play their role in furtherance of this objective.
