IT projects to be inaugurated fortnightly
KARACHI: The E-office system will be inaugurated next week under the auspices of the E-government project of the IT department, said Sindh Information Technology Advisor, Noman Saigol on Thursday.
Talking to a delegation of computer companies at his office, he said that the government was working vigorously to promote IT culture in the province. He vowed that work on new IT projects will be carried out every fortnight.
The advisor called the E-office system an important step towards a computerised filing system. Initially, five departments of the Sindh government – health, education, planning & development, services and general administration and IT departments – will be computerised from next week. Also, he said that this system will make available, complete information about filing, file tracking, file movement and its status on computer.
Saigol said projects such as E-government Sukkur and ‘smart budget hotel’ in Sukkur were also given final touches during current week.
