Islamabad High Court (IHC) issues notices to FIA, Pemra, PTA chiefs
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued notices to DG FIA, PEMRA chairman and PTA chairman on a petition, seeking court order for the registration of an FIR against former army chief General (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa, former DG ISI Lt General (r) Faiz Hameed, Shahid Metla and journalist Javed Chaudhry, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
IHC Chief Justice (CJ) Justice Aamer Farooq heard the case.
Special Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi and the petitioner Syed Muhammad Atif Ali appeared in the court.
The petitioner had argued that Javed Chaudhry and Shahid Metla did not have any idea how their conduct could have a bearing on the society. “Both gentlemen have crossed their limits,” he added.
