ISLAMABAD: Attock Refinery Limited (ARL) is adjudged as one of the most gender friendly company and is being awarded AASHA Award 2007 for providing more conducive working environment for both men and women.
AASHA (Alliance Against Sexual Harassment at Work Place) has been organizing these awards every year but in 2007 the selection was more difficult. Therefore, this year only those companies were acknowledged which have shown a sustained interest and effort in making their organizational culture more gender friendly. ARL is one of the few cos in Pakistan, which has adopted the Code of Conduct of Gender Justice at Workplace. Being an equal opportunity employer, there is no discrimination in hiring, promotion, compensation, and development on the basis of race, colour, religion or gender.
