Interim bail of 3 suspected girls extended in gang rape case
KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Friday extended the interim bail of the three allegedly accused girls Tehreen, Nayab and Farasat for one-week in Zainab Bhayo gang rape case.
Justice Tufail H Ebrahim proceeded the petition at his chamber and the counsel for the complainant Muhammad Ashraf Qazi and the counsel of the appellant, along with the allegedly accused women, appeared before the court.
Appellant’s counsel stated that the writing of the First Information Report (FIR) was in Sindhi language so he needed two-week time for the translation of the FIR. He requested the court for a two-week extension in the interim bail. However, the counsel for the complainant Qazi opposed the plea of the appellant and stated that this case is sensitive and belongs to an innocent girl who has been gang raped, therefore, the translation of the FIR does not require a two-week period but agreed to a week’s time. asghar azad
