Indian journalists visit Lahore today

LAHORE: A delegation of 34 Indian journalists reaches in Lahore on Thursday (today) on a five-day visit on the invitation of the Lahore Press Club. The delegation would be received by Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari and Reception Committee members, Baba Muzammil Gujjar, and Mohsin Akram at Wagah after the delegates would cross into Pakistan on foot.

The delegation will participate in the 4th Punj Darya Media Conference at the press club, which will be held on Friday. The delegation would also visit historical places of the city. Members of the delegation belong to three press clubs, the Press Club of India (Delhi), the Chandigarh Press Club and the Ghaziabad Press Club. As many as 22 delegates belong to Chandigarh and 10 from Delhi while one journalist from Ghaziabad.

Chandigarh Press Club President Sukhbir Singh Bajwa and National Press Club Delhi Secretary Anil Anand are leading the delegation. Some of the delegates are: Akhil Gautam as a free lancer, Rahul Puri (The Indian Express), Rajeshwar Gupta (Dainik Tribune), Sukhbir Singh Bajwa (Dainik Bhaskar), Shayda Bano (Dainik Bhaskar) and Rajinder Dhawan from The Tribune Trust.
