Human rights case: Chief Justice calls report from PPO Punjab
ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took suo motu notice on a news item published in a newspaper dated September 17 regarding an alleged brutal murder of a factory owner after a road accident.
Reportedly one Tariq Mehmood was on his way to home from his factory when he met an accident which resulted in an altercation between Tariq and Nadeem who was on motorcycle, reportedly.
Nadeem called his friends on mobile phone who brutally murdered Tariq by pelting stones at him and killed him on the spot. Taking the notice, the Chief Justice of Pakistan has passed the following order; “report be called on from PPO Punjab for 24- 09-2010”.
