Housemaid shot dead in Clifton
KARACHI: A 40-year-old woman was shot dead in her rented house in Clifton on Saturday, police said.
They said the victim, identified as Hasina, wife of Abdul Aziz, was a domestic servant and worked at different bungalows of Clifton with her teenage daughter.
“They shared a single-room rented house with one Ramzan and his son Aslam situated in Shah Rasool Colony, adjoining Neelam Colony in Clifton,” said Sub-Inspector Naseer Tanoli, the SHO of the Boat Basin police station. “The woman’s body was found in a pool of blood by her daughter when she returned from work. Both Ramzan and his son have been missing since the incident.” The police later registered an FIR (119/2010) against Ramzan and his son.
“The victim’s husband, Abdul Aziz, lives in his native village near Vehari in Punjab,” he added.
