Hard work of employees improved PTV image: Nisar

KARACHI: Federal Minister for Information and Media Development Nisar A Memon has said owing to hard work of the Pakistan Television (PTV) staff since March this year, the image of the organization has improved.

Addressing the employees of PTV Karachi Centre at its premises on Saturday, the minister said after March there appeared a trend of “PTV bashing” but there had been amelioration on this very count because of pursuance of right sorts of policies and the hard work put in by PTV staff. He particularly mentioned that with the improvement in quality of the programmes “there is no room for any PTV bashing.”

“PTV projects the image of the country and the government,” he

said and added that he had been there to thank the PTV staff for their contributions towards this very end. He urged the PTV staff to continue to perform with same zeal and determination.

The information minister said that till October next, his focus and that of the present government would be on n~ the affairs in an efficient manner and that there would be no lusty m behavior. He warned that stem action would be taken in case of any report of lapse or dereliction.

General Manager PIIY Karachi Centre Ather Waqar Azim presented the welcome address. Later, the minister met the producers, heads of departments and representatives of the staff. —APP.
