Hamid sees IT revolution thru 3G, 4G tech
SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid has said that the 3G and 4G spectrum technology has paved the way for information technology revolution in Pakistan and is opening up new vistas of technology upgradation for the countrymen.
“Pakistan has also earned the trust of IT world after entering into the 3G and 4G technology, which is success of Pakistan’s information technology policies,” he said addressing a meeting of the party workers held at Pasrur city under the auspices of PML-N Youth Wing on Saturday.
The federal minister added that effective economic policies were bearing fruit and the country was moving ahead successfully towards economic and political stability.
Talking to newsmen at Pasrur, the minister said that Pakistan had become an ideal country for foreign investment in information technology sector as there was a massive scope of foreign investment. He said that after the auction of 3G and 4G spectrum technology, new vistas have opened for bringing IT revolution. He added that several Chinese companies had shown keen interest in investing in Pakistan’s IT sector.
He said that Pakistan was seeking foreign investment for promotion of information technology, saying that Pakistan was moving ahead day by day, bringing the advanced information technology to the masses and assuring easy access of the people to the IT advancement. MPA Munawar Ali and local PML-N leaders Khawaja Saeed Butt, Prof Shehzad Akbar Butt, Javaid Iqbal Ghuman and Farooq Ahmed Ghuman were also present.
