Govt to give Rs O.5m to heirs of late journalist

MARDAN: The provincial government has decided to give Rs 0.5 million as aid package to the late journalist of Mardan Sadique Bacha who was killed by his enemies few years ago. According to details, ex-president of Mardan Press Club (MPC) Sadique Bacha, who was killed by his enemies on august 14,2009 when he was going to his office located at Shamsi Road, Mardan, early in the morning.

After death of Sadique Bacha, former officer beares of Mardan Press Club started struggle and arranged meeting with chief minister Amir Hadier Khan Hoti, Information Minister Mian lftkhar Hussain, Information Secretary and Information director Shoaib Khan and with the great contribution and cooperation of director information Shoaib Khan and additional secretary Farid Khan, the govt decided to give Rs 0.5m to the children of late Sadique Bacha.

The local journalists of Mardan have appreciated the government and especially Chief Minister Amir Hadier Khan Hoti and his father former federal minister Muhammad Azam Khan Hoti to make it possible and thanked those people who supported former office bearers of Mardan Press Club.

Sources said that the chief minister will himself present the cheque to the widow of late Sadique Bacha in a function.
