Government distributes 500 sewing machines amongst women in Hangu

PESHAWAR: To improve the socio-economic condition of the people and provide them basic facilities of life, the government has provided 500 sewing machines to women, and fulfilled the demand of the locals by completing the drinking water supply, roads construction and streets pavement schemes in District Hangu.

According to Special Development Unit (SDU), these projects were identified by the community members of the respective villages in meetings held with district administration because, these villages were left out from the infrastructure development activities in past few years.

Therefore, the district administration ordered immediate work on the execution of these schemes. The development schemes include, providing sewing machines, kits and training to 500 hundred women, drinking water supply scheme in Government Degree College for boys, 366 meter streets pavement in Kach Banda and construction of 2000 meter long and four meter wide roads in village Warsata and Uch bazaar to Afzalabad of Hangu District.

During the work completion ceremony, the DCO Hangu Syed Musaddiq Shah said that the government had pledged to provide basic facilities to every village of the area and these schemes were initiated to improve the socio-economic condition and living standard of the people. On the same occasion local residents Noor Alam, Rauf Khan and Haider Ali appreciated the government efforts.
