Girl kidnapped, ‘poisoned’ to death

LAHORE: A 14-year-old girl died at Services Hospital late on Wednesday after she was kidnapped and served some substance by unidentified people in Mustafaabad.

Farah Bashir, a ninth class student, told her parents before her death that the abductors had served her some substance when she was on her way to school.

Mustafaabad SHO Gulab Abbas said that Farah, daughter of Muhammad Bashir, left for school in the morning and around 11am she was spotted unconscious by some passersby along a drain near her school.

She was rushed to the Services Hospital where she regained consciousness and informed her parents about her kidnapping, the SHO said, adding the girl again fainted and died later.

He said a case had been registered against unidentified person(s) on the complaint of victim’s father.
