Free Internet- The Next Big Thing

With the ambition to evolve continuously and break all the barriers, Paknet has always been in the forefront of Internet infrastructure in Pakistan. Driven by the same passion Paknet has now introduced a Free Internet Service for the first time in Pakistan. This is a whole new concept in the field of information Technology & marketing in Pakistan. It was a challenging endeavor made possible by the patronage of Minister of Science & Technology Prof. Atta-ur-Rahman and Managing Director (MD) of Paknet Mr. Mueen Sadiq Malik and teamwork of Paknet engineers and marketing department.

Initially the Quaid-e-Azam International Airport will be offering Free Internet but soon at all the major Airports of the country like Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faislabad, Multan and other public places like Shopping Malls, hospitals and General Post Office’s (GPO’s) will be equipped with such a facility.

This will boost the use of Internet by general public so that they can stay in touch through e-mails; search the Internet for the latest news and information. Paknet will continue its efforts to introduce other innovative services in the field of technology for the betterment of the society.

These web-enabled kiosks also provide the companies to offer advertisements to people using this service thus capturing a highly targeted market share. Though a new idea product promotion through such a service is one of the most innovative ways to use such alternative media to head the competition.

Through these terminals advertisers can reach the clients through banners, micro site, sponsorship or direct marketing all the usual methods.

It is anticipated that the number of Internet kiosks will mushroom in the near future with hundreds of thousands of people from every segment of society using this exciting opportunity.
