Four women of a family gang-raped

MULTAN, September 05 2005: Ten masked outlaws gang raped two women and two unmarried girls at gunpoint in village Ganju Hatta near Jalalpur Pirwala in district Multan late on Saturday September 3 night.

The culprits shot numerous fires in the air to terrify the neighbours. Later they decamped looting valuables worth Rs 200,000.

“We have registered a case against 10 robbers, who subjected four ladies to gang rape and also looted valuables. Police have found more than 60 covers of cartridges at the site,” SDPO Jalalpur Pirwala Athar Farooqi stated on Sunday.

The victims – Khadim Husain’s family members – told newsmen that all the outlaws were young and wore masks. They entered the house after breaking the door open. There were no male members of the family in the house at the time, therefore, the culprits overpowered all women and later subjected them to gang rape turn by turn.

One victim and her sister are unmarried while two others are married.

The people of the area expressed strong protest over the incident and recalled that a gang of rapists-cum-dacoits had been committing similar crimes six months earlier.

They alleged that police had not been able to find any clue of the gang so far. They held that the same gang had become active again.
