Four more killed in Karachi violence

At least four persons including an alleged informer of banned Peoples’ Amn Committee (PAC) and a woman were killed in separate incidents at various parts of the metropolis here on Tuesday. According to police and rescue sources, unidentified armed riders opened indiscriminate gunshots on another rider identified as Inayatullah, 19 son of Sanaullah at Ghosia Colony located in the limits of PIB police station.

Resultantly, the victim was hit by three bullets and died on spot. Police said the deceased, who was the resident of Ghosia Colony and cable operator by his profession, might have been targeted over the suspicious of informer of Ahmad Ali Magsi, a member of banned PAC. The body was moved to Jinnah hospital and later handed over to his heirs. No case was registered till filing of this report.

Similarly, another biker named Muhammad Waqas, 25 son of Saleem was shot dead by four armed riders when he was going to somewhere at Nishtar road in the limits of Garden police station. Police said the victim, who was the resident of Ranchore Line area, engaged in affair with a girl, who was residing in Chakiwara Lyari.

Police suspected that the Lyari gangsters might have involved in his murder. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and later handed over to his heirs after legal formalities. No case was registered till filing of this report. A cop, who got injured in an armed ambush in Kharadar police remits on Monday succumbed to his injures during treatment at CHK. Police said the deceased Babar son of Sanaullah, who was targeted in Sarafi Bazar on Monday and he might have been killed by Lyari gangsters.

In another incident, a woman was killed while a man sustained bullet injuries in an armed attack took place at Landhi area. Police said the deceased and the injured man were shifted to Jinnah Hospital for autopsy and treatment. Police said the identity of the deceased would be ascertained after the statement of injured man, who was presently admitted in ICU and not in a condition for recording his statement.
