Father held over Karak journalist’s murder
KARAK: The police arrested the father of slain journalist Waseem Alam over the murder.
The arrest of Haq Nawaz was made during a raid in Lakki Marwat district, sources in police told Dawn here on Monday.
The sources claimed that the suspect had admitted to killing his son during investigation.
Waseem Alam was killed two days ago in his native town, Mithakhel.
The Karak police had registered an FIR against unidentified gunmen on the complaint of the journalist’s mother.
