Fake case against journalist slated

KASUR- A joint meeting of Mustafabad and Kasur Press Club was held which was presided over by Shoukat Naqashbandi, in which the high handedness of the designate Administrator Town Committee Mustafabad, and Traffic Magistrate Kasur, over a journalist Suhail Qamar Sindhu, General Secretary Press Club, Mustafabad, by severely coercing him without reasons and getting a false case registered against him.

The participants of the meeting took serious notice of the hooliganism which the Magistrate had displayed after getting madly excited upon the appearance of a factual news item exposing the illegalities of the Town Committee Mustafabad, which are committed precedentedly at the time of annual auction of the leases and bidding of contracts etc.

A resolution was also passed in the meeting urging upon the local administration to withdraw the false case leveled against the said journalist immediately and on the contrary, to register a criminal case against the said officer. It was also decided that if an immediate punitive action is not taken against the said officer the journalists of Mustafabad, Kasur and those belonging to other cities, will stage a hunger-strike before the Governor’s House.
