By: Muhammad Babar

MANDI BAHAUDDIN: A meeting of the executive body of the Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society of Mandi Bahauddin expressed grave concern over the life threats being posed to rights activist and journalist Syed Manzar Sajjad.

Condemning the threats, PESS President Major Sher Gondal warned the human traffickers who are allegedly posing threats to the journalists against any illegal act against him.

He said that Manzar Sajjad is raising a voice of the youth who were promised lucrative jobs abroad by human smugglers with connivance of the FIA and Immigration staff.

Many of the youth had died on their way to various destinations in foreign countries in containers while other drowned in sea when travelling on boats.

He said that during the present era, people suffering injustice find no one to complain but the media persons were easily approachable and they raise the voice of the poor and helpless people. In this respect, he added, Manzar Sajjad is a leading figure who exposed evil elements fearlessly.

The meeting resolved that the PESS Mandi Bahauddin Chapter would back the journalist if anyone dared to harm him.
