Pakistan Press Foundation

Establishment of an arts academy in Multan is a good development to promote the art and skill of artists of Southern Punjab who were neglected in the past and arts exhibitions would be organised regularly to acknowledge the work of local artists said Khurram Javed butt, Secretary General of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI), while presiding over a meeting of the academy.

A number of proposals were discussed to uplifting the standard of artists and proper training of new entrants. He said that the Academy of Art, Creativity and Consciousness is at the forefront of this movement – a honeyed hive for artists of vision who will pollinate the future.

At the Academy we approach the Arts from the ‘inside out’. We work from the source within to bring forth a mighty flowing stream of creativity. Chairman of Academy Syed Muhammad Ali Waste said that students with no talent or experience work alongside practising artists, together discovering the joy of this inexhaustible fountain within.

He said that the results may be astonishing; radiant smiles, laughter and the childlike joy in the freedom of self expression. When we open the aperture of the inner life we access a vitality and sense of purpose that reinvigorates our lives.

President of Academy Ibn-e-Kaleem, a renowned calligraphist said that when we activate the genius of our innate creativity we can apply it to every area of our lives – and to the transformation of the world around us. They paid homage to president of MCCI, Fareed Mughis Sheikh and other members for organising an impressive exhibition of calligraphy in Multan.
