ISLAMABAD: Influential politicians, bureaucrats and members of the government media team have become a hurdle in taking action against Moinuddin Wani, an officer who misuses the name of the prime minister and Punjab chief minister in illegal activities.

No action has been taken yet against the concerned officer of the prime minister’s media team who is misusing the name of the prime minister and the Punjab chief minister in protecting defaulter cable operators illegally.

The issue was brought into the notice of senior government officials but no action was taken against defaulter Regal Cable operator and Moinuddin Wani despite the passage of three days.

The IG Punjab said that he was unaware of this incident.Regal Star Cable is operating without licence. According to an investigation report of The News the licence of Regal Star Cable operator had expired in 2012 but the cable operator is working illegally with the help of member of Prime Minister’s Media Team Moinuddin Wani and is defaulter of Rs20 million.

The interesting thing is that no action has yet been taken against the cable operator who is operating illegally with the help of an owner of a media group Sultan Lakhani. ‘The News’ report revealed that according to Wani the relations of the government is improving with Sultan Lakhani, therefore, the action should not be taken his shareholder cable operator. But no action was taken so far against those who are misusing the name of the prime minister and chief minister.
