The Sindh government has made the data system of universities, boards and institutes across the province online.

In this regard, a meeting on universities and boards was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards, Ismail Rahu.

Secretary Universities and Boards, Muhammad Mureed Rahmon informed the meeting that all the data pertaining to teachers, staff and students will be available on the web portal. Correspondence with all the universities and boards across the province will be easily possible through the portal while the Sindh chief minister and the chief secretary will have direct access to the portal.

The Sindh government on Wednesday decided to link all the universities and education boards in the province to the web portal, after which information about all the universities will be available on the portal.

Ismail Rahu said that the data of universities, boards and institutes across the province would be available on the portal by Tuesday.

The portal will also include information about universities. Initially, five-year data will be put online and then the system will solve long standing problems besides imp;roving the work gradually.

He said that the records of employees, officers and budgets of all universities and boards and enrolled students would also be available on the portal.

Records related to Matric to PhD students from across the province will be available on the portal and it will be easy for them to track their results and other related things.

The secretary of universities will oversee this portal.

The portal will also have liaison between the officials while the institutional summary and tracking system will also work in a timely manner.

Talking to Express Tribune Muhammad Mureed Rahim said that in future they have a plan to link local universities with foreign universities through this online system so that students who are abroad can benefit from this system and they can easily access and update their data anywhere on the system.

The secretary said that this facility is already available in private universities, so we decided to launch this system at the government level and also provide this facility to public universities.
