e-government project to be launched in Sindh
KARACHI, January 03 2006: The e-government project would be launched shortly in Sindh in order to create awareness and facilitate the people. About 15000 people had already been trained in the province under the project.
The provincial government allocated Rs250 million for IT projects in current fiscal year, said Advisor to Chief Minister for IT, Environment and Alternative Energy Noman Saigol.
He said e-Policing project under which all police stations in the province would be linked would also be started soon. Speaking to Radio Pakistan, Karachi on Monday, he said a scheme for testing all public vehicles including rickshaws in Karachi and other parts of the province would be launched in few months.
