Death anniversary of Pirzado today
Karachi, Jan. 02: Anwer Pirzado Academy and Culture and Tourism Department, Government of Sindh are jointly organizing a programme in the memory of Anwer Pirzado, a distinguished writer, intellectual and journalist on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at 4:30 pm at Liaquat National Library Karachi to mark his 2nd death anniversary.
Anwer Pirzado had passed away on January 7, 2007 at the age of 61.
Newly published book SINDH by Anwer Pirzado will also be launched on the occasion. Noted short story writer and columnist Amar Jalil will preside. Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Sassui Palijo will be the chief guest.
Noted writers, poets and analysts Imdad Hussaini, Mehtab Akber Rashdi, Shamsherul Hydri, Badar Abro, Taj Baloch, Fahmida Riaz, Kaleem Lashari, Murtaza Solangi, Asif Farrukhi, Attiya Dawood, Muneer Shah, Faiz Pirzado and Anwer Abro will read out their papers on life and works of Anwer Pirzado.
Some video clips of Anwer Pirzado will also be shown on the occasion.
