Cyber.Net to invest $1.5 million in broadband and satellite services

KARACHI- Cyber.Net has planned to invest $ 1.5 million to provide broadband and satellite communication and other services to the customers in a month’s time.

This was stated by Cyber.Net Chief Executive Officer Ansarul Haq, while talking to newsmen at a ceremony here on May 9, 2003 organised by the Customer Care Centre of ISP at Zamzama outlet to mark its fourth anniversary.

According to the plan, Cyber.Net would provide broadband, high speed Internet, satellite communication, Internet managing and other related services.

Ansarul Haq also said that the company has so far invested $ 1 billion, which also provided employment to 400 people in the country and abroad.

To provide complete care to the customers, he said, the company had established 20 customer care centres in the country, which would be equipped with all the state-of-the-art facilities.

He said the ISP has also started offering e-commerce, Software, e-government, e-security, network security, Internet consulting and other IT services in the Brunei Darussalam from April last year.

A messaging service between Karachi and Islamabad was also being started from the next month, which would hold meetings with the business executives to avail of this facility, he added.

He praised the PTCL for recent launch of Flag Fibre Cable Service and said efforts should be made jointly by the public and private sectors towards such direction.
