Cyber Net to expand to 1,000 cities

LAHORE — Cyber Net is actively working for promotion of modern technology in the country and it would provide its services in as many as 1000 cities by the end of this year. This was stated by General Manager Marketing Cyber Net Syed Abul Hasan Rizvi while addressing a press conference in Lahore on April 23.

Rizvi said, the company which started its operations seven years back from Karachi is now providing services in large number of cities and towns of the country including far flung areas.

He said, the company is committed to ensure quick transfer of most modern technology to the country and is fast expanding in the country with 10 to 15 cities / towns included in its network every month.

To mark completion of seven years of successful operations in the country, the company plans to launch a number of programmes including setting up cyber student clubs in schools across the country and later this facility would be expanded to small towns.

The company would also provide computers to such schools which lack this facility with the cooperation of some other organizations so that students belonging to lower strata of society could also be imparted computer knowledge.

He said the company also plans to conduct courses at press club for journalists besides provided various other facilities to Lahore Press Club.
