CPNE flays attack on aid flotilla
LAHORE – Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editor (CPNE) has strongly condemned the naked attack by Israeli forces on Freedom Flotilla while terming it a brutal and barbarous act against the humanity.
CPNE President Khushnood Ali Khan and Secretary General Aamir Mehmood in a statement issued on Monday expressed great concern over the disappearance of well-known journalist Talat Hussain and his team.
They emphasized on the international journalists organizations and the community to give a clear message to Israel on its brutal act and ensure security of journalists while they are travelling.
They also demanded of the government and the President of Pakistan to contact the community at the international level to ensure safety of Pakistani journalists.
They also appealed to the President to issue a bold policy statement against the terrorist act of Israel.
CPNE body expressed grief and sorrow over the losses of innocent people on ships.
