Constructive journalism brings positive change in society: Fawad
KHANEWAL – Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhary administered oath to the newly-elected cabinet of the District Press Club Khanewal.
Chairman of the Prime Minister Inspection Team Sardar Ahmed Yar Hiraj was along with the Federal Minister. The oath-taking ceremony took place in Pak China friendship center Islamabad.
Fawad Ch said a comprehensive plan should be evolved for meeting various demands of the journalist community and a practicable planning should be made keeping in view their socio-economic requirements. The Minister expressed these views while addressing an oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected governing body of the District Khanewal Press Club.
While addressing the ceremony, Federal Minister promised to provide funds for the construction of IT hall in the press club. He said that it was the main duty and responsibility of journalists to convey the right information to the people and government would facilitate the local journalists in this regard.
He further said that government had always welcomed the positive criticism by journalists and hoped that journalists would highlight initiatives of government like Kisan Cards. He told that Sardar Ahmed Yar Hiraj belonged to your district so he would coordinate with the President of District Press Club Khanewal Sajid Pervaiz for the construction of IT hall.
Afterwards, President Shakeel Anjum of National Press Club Islamabad along with General Secretary arranged a high tea at National Press Club Islamabad for the newly elected cabinet of District Press Club Khanewal.
