Condolence message: Edhi was the standard-bearer of humanity, says CPNE
KARACHI: Council of Pakistan Newspaper Editors (CPNE) has expressed its deep sense of sorrow over the demise of renowned social worker, Abdul Sattar Edhi, in a statement issued on Friday. The statement was issued on behalf of CPNE President Zia Shahid, General Secretary Ejazul Haq, Senior Vice President Shaheen Qureshi and Finance Secretary Ghulam Nabi Chandio, Information Secretary Tahir Farooq, , Joint Secretary Irfan Athar, vice presidents – Amir Memood, Rehmat Ali Razi, Mehtab Khan, Syed Haroon Shah, Anwar Saajdi and all members of its standing committee. The CPNE office-bearers prayed for the departed soul and said Edhi was a standard bearer of humanity and an example for all the people who want to serve the community.
