CM hands over RsO.7m cheque to Press Club

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim All Shah, has said that journalism is a noble profession and that the newsmen depict of the picture of the society as well as problems of the people.

He said this during a cheque distribution ceremony at the Chief Minister House here on Saturday.

The Chief Minister said that the journalists are always on the forefront, for the performance of their duties.

He also praised the services of members of the Mithi Press Club for the cause of democracy.

The Chief Minister handed over a cheque of Rs. 700,000 to president of Mithi Press Club, Premshawni, and general secretary, Khatoihani. The office bearers of the Mithi Press Club thanked Qaim Ali Shah.

MNA Mahesh Kumar Malani, Adviser to Chief Minister, Siddiq Abu Bhai, Special Assistant Waqar Medhi were also present on the occasion.

Waqar Medhi presented a cheque of Ha. 200,000 for the Press Club Ranipur to its joint secretary Yasin Rajpar.
