CM and Adviser Mourn Death of APP’s Chitral Correspondent Gul Hammad Farooqi
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Khan Gandapur expressed grief over the demise of the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) Chitral correspondent Gul Hamad Farooqi. In a condolence message, the chief minister extended sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister on Information, Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif, also expressed grief over the death of the journalist. In a condolence message, he praised Farooqi for his professionalism and contributions towards the freedom of the press.
Farooqi, who had been associated with APP for more than 15 years, passed away on April 27 due to a cardiac arrest. Funeral prayers for Farooqi were to be offered at his village, Shabqader, Charsadda.
