The IGP told the court that names of suspects had been placed on the exit control list and they would be arrested soon.

Zeeshan Butt of Daily Nawa-e-Waqt was allegedly shot dead by Begowala union council chairman Imran Aslam Cheema. The other suspects included Shahid Abbas, Saqlain and Shahid. The Supreme Court on Saturday also ordered exhumation and fresh autopsy of the seven-year-old girl, who was found murdered in Jaranwala. The victim, Mubashira, was abducted while she was playing near her house. Later, her body was recovered from the nearby fields.

Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar had taken suo motu notice of the incident and sought a report from the IGP. Counsel of the deceased’s family told the court that autopsy report was faulty and a fresh post-mortem was required to meet the ends of justice.
