CJ seeks reports on girl’s slaughter, acid throwing
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar on Monday directed the Islamabad IGP to submit a report regarding the slaughter of a twelve-year-old girl by unknown rapists near Rawal Dam in Islamabad and depute the SSP Islamabad to appear personally on January 22 in the Supreme Court.
The chief justice gave these directions while taking a suo moto notice on a news report appearing in a section of the press. In another suo moto notice regarding acid attack on Maria Shah, daughter of Syed Bakar Shah, resident of Shikarpur by one Arslan Sanjrani, son of Muhammad Saleh Sanjran, the chief justice directed the Sukkur RPO to probe into the matter personally and depute the DPO Shikarpur to submit a report in detail on January 27 in the Supreme Court.
It was reported that while the victim was working in a clinic, the accused came there with a glass having acid and poured it over her to disfigure her face after she refused to marry him.
