KARACHI- (PPI)- The ban imposed by Pakistan government on Indian satellite and Star channels to curb their propaganda was overwhelming responded by cable operators all over the country in general and Karachi in particular.

“The propaganda by these channels were not only undesirable but was also against the national ideology and integrity,” said one cable operator when posed a question.

He said the response of cable operators to the call of the government was so overwhelming, voluntary and outstanding that unlike past not a single operator even running his operation from small streets and garages could ignore it.

He informed that currently some 800 cables are operating in the country who are all patriotic people as they have the clear perception as to what is against the national interest.
