Cable operator’s office attacked in Kohat

Kohat, April 28: A cable operator’s office was damaged when some people threw petrol bombs into it on Friday night.

The manager of Cable World 2000 told police that two people who came on a motorcycle threw petrol bombs into the office at 8.35 pm and sped away towards east.

The same office had also been attacked on March 30.Four armed people had asked the manager to vacate the office and then put the office on fire, destroying monitors, computers and furniture.

Meanwhile, the provincial government transferred Kohat district police o officer Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood ‘for failing to curb anti-social activities.’ He served in Kohat only for five months. He has being appointed a deputy director FIA, Islamabad.

The new DPO, Zahir Shah, a retired military officer is expected to assume office in the first week of May.
