Cable operators asked to get licence renewed

KARACHI- The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has directed all cable TV operators to get their licence renewed by May 10, 2003. Issuing the final notice, PEMRA stated on Friday that operating CTV business without renewal of the license was a violation according to the PEMRA Ordinance. Under Article-33 of the ordinance a person, who does not hold a valid license, shall be punished.
