Cabinet to consider anti-dowry law in two weeks

While discussing an assurance by the Leader of the House in the Senate Wasim Sajjad on behalf of the religious affairs minister, the secretary said initial approval from the prime minister had been obtained. Discussing an assurance by Health Minister Muhammad Nasir Khan regarding illegal medical colleges, the health secretary told the committee that the ministry had formed an inquiry commission in line with the Supreme Court’s December 15, 2006 decision.
