Britain arranging visit of Pakistan IT companies
KARACHI- The British government is organizing and paying for a visit of the best Pakistani IT companies to Britain with the aim of establishing new business links with their counterparts in London.
“ITCN Asia 2002 Exhibition and Conference will play a significant role in establishing new business links in IT sector for both Pakistan and Britain,” said David Pearey, Deputy High Commissioner of Britain in a press release of the lTCN Asia Secretariat here on Wednesday.
He appreciated ITCN Asia 2002 for providing an opportunity for developing business links in IT sector.
The lTCN Asia 2002 would be held at the Expo Center and Sheraton Hotel Karachi in August.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL) has already assured sponsorship for the event.
The PTCL actively participated as cosponsor in lTCN Asia 2001 and once again would play its role for making ITCN Asia 2002 a great success.
The government of Sindh, E-commerce Gateway (Pvt) Ltd and CommerceNet Singapore has collaborated to showcase the IT potential of Pakistan for the world and create business opportunities for the development of IT industry and economy.
The event is specially designed to attract foreign players for investment, collaboration and outsourcing ventures with Pakistani companies.
