He expressed these views while addressing as chief guest in a programme organised by Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) and Karachi Press Club at KPC to observe the 3rd November 2007 as ‘black day’ against the imposition of emergency in the country and dictatorial steps of the then President Pervez Musharraf.

Professor Tauseef Khan, senior journalists Khurshid Abbasi, Mazhar Abbas, Khurshid Tanvir, Senior lawyer leader Aqil Lodhi and labour leader Nasir Mansoor also spoke.

BR Peshawar correspondent adds: On call of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), the community staged a protest demonstration in the premises of Peshawar Press Club, against the former military dictator General Pervez Musharraf’s (retired) November 03 unconstitutional and undemocratic act.

The protest was spearheaded by Khyber Union of Journalist’s (KhUJ) president Nisar Mehmood, Peshawar Press Club president Nasir Hussain, along with scores of members of journalists’ community. The participants were holding placards and banners, condemning the emergency imposed by Pervez Musharraf on November 3.
